"It will undoubtedly be the proudest moment in my minigolfing career as I lead out the KMGC Smeeth Squad and go into battle against the pirate hoards of Hastings. The team have been training hard for the competition and we are all looking forward to locking horns with the PHCGC on the fabled greens of Strokes. The Smeeth Cup will be a fitting addition to the KMGC clubhouse.
Despite having lost the toss back in January I have to compliment the captain of the PH team for his sterling efforts in actually getting enough players together to make up a team to take us on.. I know how hard this has been for their merry band of minigolfers and trust they will not lose heart and disband as a result of the pounding they will receive at Margate on the 17th. No doubt it will be a long journey back to Sussex for them with several stops required to wipe away the bitter tears of defeat!!"
