The 2008 KENT INVITATIONAL TOURNAMENT kicked off at Strokes Adventure Course, under stormy skies and very cold seafront gusts!! The new look course is superb... the greens have undergone a complete relay during the winter break and all credit to Matt, Brian, Frankie and the team for a tremendous job!!!

The BMGA DARTS KNOCKOUT TOURNAMENT took place following the PHCGO on Saturday afternoon with 3 KMGC players lining up at the ochy to take on the best of the rest in this unique event. The draw for the event was as follows;

Marion Homer took on Den Exall in the first round match up of the BMC's, being beaten by 1 shot at the final hole after an epic clash at the Hastings Seafront Crazy Golf Course.

The 2007 TUNBRIDGE WELLS INVITATIONAL TOURNAMENT (TWIT) took place at the Seafront courses in Hastings over 2 rounds of minigolf, one on the minigolf course and the second on the crazy golf course (utilising the exciting crazy crazy rules!!!). After setting a personal best on the minigolf course of 36, SEAN HOMER led the field but for the second year running came in 2nd (by one shot!!!), RUTH BULLIN came 3rd, ANDY BOOTH came 9th, CHRIS DEELEY came 10th, JANE BOOTH came 14th, SALLY BOOTH 15th and JAKE BOOTH came 17th (ROCKY BULLIN withdrew during the first round). The 2007 MIDLAND OPEN took place at Warwick Adventure Golf Course over 3 rounds of Strokeplay minigolf. BILL BULLIN produced a terrific final round of 34 to claim 2nd place, SEAN HOMER and RUTH BULLIN tied in 5th place, ROCKY BULLIN tied in 8th place, ANDY BOOTH came 17th, MARION HOMER came 19th and JAKE BOOTH came 21st. The 2007 BRITISH MINIGOLF OPEN was held at Strokes over the weekend, producing some outstanding minigolf. JOUNI VALKJARVI from Finland wins, MATTIAS STAHL from Sweden was 2nd (including a new all time course record of 31 in the process) and EIRIK SELJELID
from Sweden came 3rd. Worthy mention for team kent's very own Bill Bullin for setting a new UK BMGA course record of 32 - for full results click here!!

While RUTH BULLIN was setting a new course record at Strokes, SEAN and MARION HOMER were being interviewed on the Roger Day show on Radio Kent, promoting, amongst other things, the British Open, the Kent Open, Strokes Adventure Golf and the mighty Kent Minigolf Club!!! BMGA BRITISH INTERNATIONAL OPEN confirmed for 15th & 16th September 2007 at STROKES ADVENTURE GOLF COURSE in Margate. The British Minigolf Association (BMGA) are delighted to announce the official launch of the 2007 British Open @ Strokes Adventure Golf in Margate on September 15th & 16th.
We are now accepting entries exclusively for BMGA members and International Players until the 31st July.

From August 1st onwards competition entry will be opened up to all; however the number of participants is limited on a first come, first served basis.
The tournament will run across Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th and will consist of 4 rounds on the Saturday for all competitors (with a cut at the end of Saturdays play to determine the field for the Sunday). Sunday will consist of a further 2 rounds for all players making the cut, with the competition culminating in the Super Final play off round to decide the winner.
The prize fund for the tournament is as follows;

This competition is open to all Kent minigolfers who are keen to be part of the KMGC and get involved in a Kent Minigolf League in 2007. The competition takes place from midday prompt on Saturday 4th November and will take place over 2 rounds of minigolf (a total of 36 holes). The lowest combined
score after 2 rounds wins (if there is a tie after 36 holes the competition will be decided in a sudden death play off).
There will be 2 prizes up for grabs on the day - the official Kent Invitational Tournament cup (as seen on the KMGC Home Page!) for the highest placed Kent Team BMGA member (yours to keep until the Kent Invitiational Tournament 2007!) and another prize for the highest placed 'guest' player (either non BMGA member or BMGA member afiliated with another Minigolf club).
Entry fee for the KENT INVITATIONAL TOURNAMENT is £5.00 per player (payable on the day) and this bargain price includes unlimited free practice at Strokes on the Saturday (providing an ideal build up for the big one, the KENT OPEN, on the 5th!)
